Launched in September 1998, the Goodwood Revival is an
annual event held at the illustrious Goodwood Circuit near West Sussex, and
features a nostalgic array of stars and cars from the 1940s, 1950s and 1960s –
decades that are hailed by some as the best in all of motor racing history.

Decades which saw the rise of motoring stars from the
worlds of four wheels and two including Sir Jackie Stewart, Sir Stirling Moss,
John Surtees, Derek Bell; the list is endless.
Attendees of the Goodwood Revival are known to come
dressed for the occasion. The fashions of the 40s, 50s and 60s are still as
popular as ever and it has become a tradition that guests of the Revival are
dressed appropriately. Don't just take our word for it, the Goodwood outlet have produced their own handy book on fashions from the decades and explains why the use of costume at the event adds another piece to the Revival jigsaw...
"Dressing for the Goodwood Revival has become de riguer and it as important to that ambiance and general jolliness of the long weekend as the smell of hot grease the the scream of a V8 on the home straight."

But the Goodwood Revival is not just about the fashions
of the era – the most important aspect of any Revival meeting is the collection
of antique vehicles that each have their own tale to tell. From Sir Stirling
Moss’ 1961 German Grand Prix winning Lotus 18 to motorcycles from
the early 1940s – at the Revival, there sure is something for everyone.
